CityScape VR 2022

A virtual reality experience set within a thriving city simulation.


Originally, this was simply a university VR assigment where we were tasked to create a small scale virtual reality experience to simulate pedestrian interaction with vehicles but after I completed it I wanted to further build upon it to create a more full experience.


Once I handed in the assignment I began improving upon the assignment instantly. I completely rewrote the programming for the vehicles and pedestrians so that their movement was more realistic and their behaviour was more to real life. Additionally, I spent a long time tinkering with the colliders that the cars use so that their detection of people and other cars worked more flawlessly.


After I had completed this I realised that I needed a bigger city to display the new programming in a more impressive manner so I spent a long time building upon the original city block that I had created.
